Decking screws

Stainless steel decking screws are mostly used for the fastening of the wooden decking. They might be also an alternative for the fastening of the rear ventilated wooden claddings. 

To choose the rigth screw type, we have to know the wood which will be fastened and surroundings where will be the installation. In general, applications are as follows:

Stainless steel C2: softwood in normal conditions/outside (spruce, pine, thermowood, larch...)                                                                                 

Stainless steel A2: exotic/hardwood in normal conditions/outside (ipe, massaranduba, bangkirai...)                                                         

Stainless steel A4: exotic/hardwood, acid and rust enviroment like swimming pools, sea decking...

Recommended diameter for decking: 4,5 and 5,0 mm

Recommended length: cca 2x or 2,5x of the wooden decking/cladding, for exact length see the chart below

For high quality decking and prolonged durability of your terrace use always distance pads, decking tape and rubber pads. 

Typically, for m2 you will need cca 33 pcs. of the terrace screws (decking width 140 mm, space 8 mm, substructure every 500 mm).
